qFileSync is an application for file synchronization with Windows.
It is really easy to use, only one button to start the program and your settings are stored.
If you want to synchronize only two folders, the program will create a default folder in your Desktop (for example). And if you want to synchronize all the folders in your desktop (for example, C:), then you have to setup the folder in your C:\ directory (you will find a tutorial on the q-team web site).
The program will synchronize all the file’s dates, but not all the file’s content. This means that if you synchronize the document „My Thesis.doc“, the program will check each time whether the file’s date has been changed (from the moment the file was created, or from the last synchronization), if the file was deleted from the folder (in which case it will delete it from the other folder), or if it was modified (in which case it will update it to the last modification date). But if the file has the same date and content in the two folders, it doesn’t change the content of the file.
This has been a long description, but to try the program, you only have to put a copy of the q-0-9.zip file in your C:\ directory; remove all your files and folders on your Desktop, and launch the program (it’s easy: double click on qFileSync.exe); select your folder from the combobox to synchronize; choose how to manage your files (new files, copied files, or if you want to keep the same name, or change it); click the Synchronize button. You have only to wait until the process is completed, and to click again the Synchronize button to continue.
