Half-Life or No Half-Life: Opposing Force is a combat simulator focused on 3rd person melee combat and a science-fiction storyline. The entire single-player game consists of three main campaigns, each focused on a different faction of the Opposing Force (Or CPU) side:

The Marshall faction takes place in the early 22nd century where a robot army is unleashing its fury on the Earth’s population. A small team of soldiers is tasked with bringing the robots down.

The Alfa faction takes place in the early 23rd century on the ruined planet of Cydonia and focuses on solving the mystery of the transmission. However, if you’re a true fan, you want to get in on the action and take out any odds and ends that might show up in the distance.

The Delta faction takes place on the planet of Caldera in 2160 and features combat against the commander of the robots.

Gameplay takes a simple text-based turn-based strategy approach with easy to use navigation and movement controls. You can aim and throw items around by using a virtual analog controller.

The Opposing Force has two different attack maneuvers, which can be mapped to any of the four main buttons on the controller. The main attacks are Firing Line, which fires missiles at the other player, and Melee, which deals physical damage to the enemy. Melee can also be done as a combo with a 3rd button, which deals damage to the enemy and knocks them back. Melee can be performed while crouched, standing, or moving at full speed.

The third button is used for melee weapon attacks. The Melee button acts like a close range attack, it deals minimal damage but when you combine it with the Smash button it

      At PAX Prime 2017, I had the chance to play this game. I found it to be highly engaging and interesting.       As he left the Central Intelligence Agency in 2008, Scott McClellan expressed some concerns about the CIA, saying, “Through my years at the agency I’d seen the rise and fall of some of my friends, had fought battles that could have destroyed me, but had come through the other side, I knew war, and I knew peace.” Before leaving, Scott had observed, “That’s the way it should be.” Two years later, he’s gone.

      The melancholy note of his departure turns into unexpected jubilation when one considers that his ultimate destination will be as successful as he was at the CIA: a doctorate from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is joining government affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His time at CIA was turbulent; in 2004, he publicly testified at the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings about the CIA’s use of waterboarding and hypo-thermia techniques against detainees.       Up near the top of the world, there’s a place where the weather is always sunny and the riders can wind their way up the steep and treacherous passes with no obstacles in their way. Up there, all of the open track is large, grey and wet. This is the land of Vadodara, the home of the Dunlop motorcycle racing team. For decades it has trained and perfected some of the world’s fastest, leanest, cruelest riders. But it’s a harsh and unforgiving place. And then a new breed of rider came, with skills, tools and clothing that were far superior to those on the North Indian plains. This is where a new kind of rider was born: the Dunlop motorbike racer.

      The Dunlop Games is a hardcore motorcycle racing game in the vein of Wipeout. It’s a real sport, which means there will be real injuries, real injuries to blood and body parts. You’ll have to judge your moves and instincts correctly in order to either live or die in this game. You can survive only as long as you can evade the obstacles in your path.
      Along your journey there are four major stages that you’ll have to navigate to the finish line. In a real motorcycle race, the conditions and the track change on a daily basis, and this is the case in The Dunlop Games as well. The conditions of the track will change throughout the stage. Some stages will be completely sandy, covered in sand and dunes. Other stages will have smooth asphalt and concrete. Some stages are in the mountains, and some in the desert. Each stage will be a different challenge.
      All of the stages have precise elevation that must be navigated, and every hill in the stage presents a difficult obstacle to overcome. There will also be breakaways that require that you avoid them. In the streets, there will be constant, unpredictable traffic.
