Although it’s a Neptunia game, this DLC allows for those that have no interest in Neptunia games to enjoy it. There is surprisingly a lot of variety in the game, but more importantly is the fact the DLC is free. Oh, and it’s wonderful. Not too difficult, and difficult enough that even the occasional loss does not hinder your progress. I don’t know about you, but when I have spare time I’m watching TV, listening to music or reading a book. Well, I’ve found a way to play Neptunia so that I can watch, listen to, or read while I play and it’s done without taking precious time away from the things I love. It takes a bit of a challenge to play on long mode, but I managed to get a few goals. The two I completed were to get 100B and to kill the boss. There are a couple of achievements to be had (like ranking highly on the master list) which are unlocked by defeating each boss a certain amount of times. A bit of luck and a couple of good comebacks is all it takes to win and it’s always fun to try out new things.
The DLC adds a couple more paths to the game so you have even more to explore. The game itself is incredibly short, but everything you need to accomplish your goal is there. You get a couple of hitbox puzzles to work through and then you can choose to make some great comebacks or just sit back and let the computer do all the work for you. If there’s only one thing I would criticize about the game, it would be the graphics; they are too simplistic and low-resolution for what Neptunia was initially intended

But that’s what I do, right? I forget, because Eye of the Temple is so goddamn good.
Ice Cores‘ debut game feels like a dream come true. I’ve had the privilege of playing it multiple times over the past month or so, but it never ceases to fascinate me. I’m awestruck by the art, the music, the storytelling, the dialogue — everything about it. Even the title, which is taken from the name of the temple-like structure in the game’s first mission, is important. Eye of the Temple is a long-anticipated visual showcase of what virtual reality is capable of and I’m so happy that it exists. It’s a truly magical place to visit.
Eye of the Temple is a game for immersive VR experiences. A quick warning: if you’re one of those people who make a big deal out of the fact that games have gotten „too long“ or that some games are „too long“ or that „games are getting too long,“ do not play this game. It’s quite short, and there are many things to do.
Eye of the Temple has the kind of storytelling I loved back in my teenage years: it focuses on a small group of people, on one specific place, and explores it beautifully. The gameplay and music can be repetitive, and there are some scenes that are weird or even frustrating — the half-pipe slopes, for example — but for the most part it’s a really lovely time.
I’m still learning new things about Eye of the Temple, and I’m already frustrated by what I don’t know yet. I’m a little sad because I don’t know all the things that are so fun.
