Train Simulator is the world’s leading rail simulator. With real world routes and real world rolling stock, Train Simulator recreates the thrills and spills of the railway industry and allows the player to become a railway master. Thousands of players around the world are taking to the virtual tracks to master real world transport schedules, and in the process have helped to create a richer gaming experience for generations to come.

What started as a simple mod to tame the exclusive (and complicated) V80 has now expanded into the Railway Simulator for PC.

With the goal of bringing the V80 to a modern audience this sim still retains its analog feel, including swinging passenger doors, swinging windows, and even windshield wipers; even the passenger windows and the window wipers cycle. This allows the player to experience the unique appeal that the V80 offers, yet still be able to appreciate the beautiful digital art that Train Simulator has to offer.

Then we have the physics engine. Though few modern day brands have made the ride truly enjoyable for most of the players, the feel of Train Simulator’s physics have helped a lot of people have a better understanding of how the V80 feels as an enjoyable ride. Even if it’s just clicking a button to get that next level of enjoyment out of the experience.

V80 Taming
When it comes to the Train Simulator community, most people will agree that one thing is lacking. The ability to tame the V80, a model from the Chisholm era.

In this thread, we discuss how to take the V80 from common to exotic.

Want to tame a V80?This thread is for discussing how to tame a V80 in Train Simulator 2013/2014. No information or advice regarding the taming of the V80 will be given in this thread, so please do not post such questions here. In the second thread, instead of asking for taming/taming requests, discuss common taming techniques.

General Taming info:The V80 is an incredibly rare train, with only a few hundred still in use. Taming one is a big deal because owning a tamed V80 will gain you a ticket on the exclusive Shunters Club, which allows you access to powerful exclusive content in the mod-hub, which includes:
– Access to exclusive content in the Steam Workshop, with a chance to get a Steam Achievement
– Access to exclusive cars in the gallery, exclusive screenshots, and other goodies
– Early access to future DLC

ENGINE
The locomotive is powered by two Maybach 12-cylinder, 1500cc, gas-turbine engines, producing a maximum power output of 1820 horsepower. The engines are liquid-cooled, with a water-based cooling system that can carry 450kg of water. The cooling system uses an arrangement of three radiators.
MAKING THE V 60
The early models of the V 60 did not have their own electrical system. Instead, it was supplied by a separate third rail.
Initially, the electrification was supplied by the Rheinbahn, who ran the main main line electrification from the central station of Cologne to Munchen. The electrification was supplied with 25.5kV DC, so a separate third rail for the locomotives was not necessary.
Later on, electrification was supplied on both the main line and the suburban lines. The DB took over the Rheinbahn in 1968, and their last use of the locomotives was for shunting traffic at Hohengeissen, Germany, from 1973 to 1975.
There were a total of 942 of this locomotive, with several different modifications, which were fitted with diesel engines. Many of the early models were fitted with the older Maybach 6 engines, which gave them a power output of 1075hp, with the 6A variant having a power output of 1300hp.
DB opted for the Maybach GTO 6/GTO 6A engines, which gave the locomotives a power output of 2000hp, with the later models being built with this engine type.
The frame was also strengthened for the GTO engine to increase its adhesive weight by 1 to 53 tons, depending on the model.
Whilst pulling, the locomotives could reach a maximum speed of 60km/h.
Despite this different classification, they were still all considered V 60s, however by 1986 they were reclassified as minor locomotives (Kleinlok) and the V 60 grouping was removed, giving them their BR 360/361

We all know about the organic cotton trend that seems to be taking the world by storm. When I was little, my mother would not allow us to play in our dresses and skirts because they were made from “chemical fibers”.

I still remember the day that she brought us home a pair of “real cotton” pajamas to wear. She wore them every single night and would make sure that they were put away every single morning.

When organic cotton became a major fad in recent years, the great mom’s and grandma’s all rejoiced because they were happy that children could wear clothes that were not made from dangerous synthetic fibers.

Are cotton and synthetic fibers really as different as they are made out to be? When it comes to being GMO free, they are one in the same. Both are genetically modified to produce their own pesticides and both can, and do, create their own type of synthetic toxins.

Cotton is one of the most harmful crops on our farm. A study done by the University of California Berkeley in 2013 found that 1
