In May 2000, Autodesk acquired a 51 percent equity interest in Micrografx for $22 million. In November 2001, Autodesk acquired a 50 percent interest in Micrografx and, following a further consolidation, it became the sole owner of Micrografx. At the same time, Autodesk acquired the assets of Micrografx’s Brazilian subsidiary, Autograf and Autograf’s Brazilian subsidiary, Man-and-Machine. The purpose of this article is to analyze the ethical, technical and financial dimension of the humanization of hospitals.
