AutoCAD’s history traces back to 1982, when designers in the aerospace industry needed a system to simultaneously design the interiors, exteriors, and load-bearing structures of different aircraft sections. These specifications were required to be drawn up in a single drawing using a single CAD system.

Over time, as engineering firms embraced desktop CAD systems, architects and engineers began to realize that CAD could be applied to a wider range of disciplines, such as general construction and interior design.

In 1985, Autodesk began developing the first generation of CAD software, initially known as DraftMaster, the ancestor to the AutoCAD program.

In 1986, the company’s product manager, Rich Rudeen, visited a local restaurant, where he was introduced to the danish company KOMTAR. The founder, Arne Martinsen, had created the company, KOMTAR, in 1984 to develop a computer-aided design (CAD) system.

In the early 1980s, Arne Martinsen had used the ASCII character set to develop his CAD software in a DOS application called Aegis. Because his company’s software used the ASCII character set, Martinsen was dissatisfied with the lack of tools for creating titles and legends. He recognized that the title block, which contained the name of the current drawing and a title for the drawing, was a time-consuming element to create, and he wanted to be able to create titles in ASCII. Python: exclude a line of code from the traceback when the script terminates with an exception?

I have a script that has a while True: loop.
I use the module traceback to generate a traceback for the last few lines of code, and to then provide some useful information to the user.
But I do not want to include the „while True:“ line in the traceback.
If the program ends due to an exception, or just gets killed by CTRL+C, I want to not show the „while True:“ line in the traceback.
But as the line is not actually executed by the python interpreter, I have to use an if else statement:

Is there a more elegant way to do this? Something similar to how we could use this:
sys.exit(error)

But without exiting Python?

The exception is usually raised during the running of the main function. You can raise an exception at that line and not get a traceback.

to clear the exception and also restore the Python exit code.

The traceback module in the standard library (which is what you were using) is specifically designed to have that information. You cannot turn it off, it is there to show you what the code was doing when the problem occurred.

Click the „New“ button at the top of the menu bar, or right click the desktop and choose „new“.
Enter „drawing“ in the name and click ok.

Click the „File“ menu, click „Open“ and select „Import from file“ and browse to where you downloaded the image.

Click the „File“ menu, click „Save“ and click „Save as…“. Rename the file „image.jpg“
