For users who need to receive a precise and reliable answers to their questions regarding TextGen we have provided the following list of recommendations and explanations:

1. TextGen is designed to work with ABAQUS. In this case, it is not necessary to use a specific CAD package. Moreover, if you decide to use TextGen with a different CAD package, it will be necessary to update your application (instructions are available from the application’s website)

2. TextGen is designed to work with various types of textiles such as composites, unwoven fabrics, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics and more.

3. TextGen’s options let you select textile options and structural properties of textile composites. The most frequently used option is „Knitted fabrics“ which works with uni-directional and bi-directional knitted fabrics. For all other options, please refer to the app’s main window.

**Example 1**: To obtain the properties of woven fabrics, you can use TextGen’s „Woven fabrics“ option.
