I recently installed MaxBakup, and everything works great, for me. However, there seems to be a delay when the help panel opens/closed. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Does it work fine on your test system? Is there a known „bug“?

It works fine when using a fresh install. However, when I am changing many things, it takes quite a while until the help panel becomes visible after double clicking on a help topic.

If you mean the closing, than this is set to 2 seconds by default. This setting can be changed via Tools >> Options >> General Settings >> AutoClose. You can change the delay, whether the panel should be closed (default: always), or if it should be automatically closed when a certain amount of time is reached (default: 0 seconds).

Thanx for the reply. I am pretty sure that the delay is caused by switching between browser tabs. I have closed all the other windows except the one with the help panel open (add all cookies etc). However, when I close the browser by itself (type „exit“ in the URL bar) the delay is still there. But I understand that this may not be the real problem. If anyone knows how to close all the browser windows when closing the browser by itself, I would be happy.

I don’t know why the help panel sometimes remains visible after closing the browser by itself. And I don’t know if this actually happens with every help panel, but I am afraid that this is the case, although it is rather difficult to check for every help panel. For this reason, I suggest that you check this with a new Maxthon profile. Create a new profile, open the help panel and check if the panel closes when clicking on the close box in the menu bar. If it closes, than this happens with every help panel and it is probably the Maxthon related side effect.

I will test this with a new test profile. I am running Maxthon 3.5.13 (could not get 3.5.14).
