I came across this thread looking for some help as I have been having a lot of issues with Guifications for some time now. I have tried to install it and the Pidgin extension manager but it keeps telling me that a missing update is needed for Pidgin. I just want to make sure that I am installing this Guifications plugin correctly and that I do not have a corrupt version.

I also installed from the extension manager and that did not work either, I followed the instructions in the README.txt file and it still did not work, it kept saying that it could not find the file and it would not load. I also tried this same procedure on another distro, Ubuntu 18.04, and it still would not work. Guifications loads fine from the terminal after it is installed, and I tried following the instructions there too.
