The world of the Lands Between was ruled over by the Elden Lords for over a thousand years. As conflicts rage on and the rule of the Elden Lords falters, the authority of the Elden Ring, the position to which the Lords pledge their allegiance, has grown.

Your character is born under the rule of the Elden Ring. To protect the land, you must become a powerful Lord that can even peer into the lands beyond.

In the midst of such a chaotic atmosphere, a conflict that has arisen in the Kingdom of Jotunheim has spread to the border. In addition to this, the Forsaken Undead Lord will not rest and plot to rule the lands of Elden. If you unravel its secrets, you may be called upon to fight off the Undead Lord.

Your journey begins in the Kingdom of Sol, where you explore and gain experience, then continue to Jotunheim to face off against the Undead Lord.

Rise of Tarnished, which was launched in August 2014, is a fantasy action RPG with fast-paced battles and role-playing elements. In Rise of Tarnished you can freely create your own character and develop his strength, weapons, and magic to become an expert player.

Challenge Mode and Special Easy Mode

Easy, normal, or advanced mode is set at the time of play. While Easy mode offers damage boosts, normal mode offers only attack boosts while advanced mode gives various other boosts.

When you play an Easy or Normal mode battle, you will not be able to fight monsters over a certain character’s level, and will not be able to use items that raise your characters level. However, in a special Easy mode battle, you can continue to fight whatever character you like, as well as use all items.

To begin participating in Easy, Normal, and Special Easy mode battles, simply select a scenario and set the tutorial level when you get to the main menu.

  I’m a Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger and Diablo fan and I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It has an extremely fun style with lots of potential. The randomized dungeons with the storyline of finding a mysterious person, exploring a huge land, and fighting powerful enemies are so much fun.   This feels like the best out of the first three Final Fantasy games as it has a lot of the charm of FFIV, while a ton of new things are included in it. The combat is surprisingly addicting and despite a bit of clunkiness, most combat is fun to control. It might be a bit confusing for newcomers at first, but it’s not too hard to figure out. The story is actually a really good one; expect some twists. The gameplay can really get repetitive at times, but you can easily save your game and quit if you feel you’re reaching the point where your character’s actions are no longer contributing to the story, and you can replay it. The only real „problem“ with this is that it is pretty short on a single playthrough, and it seems like it would be longer. There are a few places in the game where you can buy items with in-game currency, which feel cheap, but the game does provide several ways of obtaining that currency by finding special items in the field and completing specific quests for certain towns. The musical score is pretty decent, and there are a few songs in the game that I really liked. My least favorite part of the game were the character models, which aren’t quite „Final Fantasy-like“ as they may look. The character sprites are decent, but I wasn’t a big fan of the character portraits; I preferred the old ones from Final Fantasy II.
