Katie Maloney talks supporting ex Tom Schwartz at bar opening

Katie Maloney is continuing to support her ex Tom Schwartz despite their divorce. 

The star, 35, attended the grand opening of his latest venture, Schwartz and Sandy’s, which was hosted by DailyMail.com and TMX. 

Speaking with DailyMail.com on the red carpet on Tuesday, Katie opened up about her decision to support her ex amid their ongoing split. 

Speaking on why there is no divorce drama, she said: ‚Listen there was enough drama regarding this last year.You know, friendship has never been our problem and it’s become our priority now. So, I’m happy to be here.‘

She also dished on returning to the dating scene for the first time in over 10 years.

‚The landscape has changed… the last time I was single, I was 24, so it’s a bit different now, but, you know, I’m excited,‘ she explained. 

Katie isn’t the only Vanderpump star back on the market – Lala Kent is also newly single after splitting from fiance Randall Emmett.

And Katie is thrilled to have her as a ‚wing woman.‘ 

‚I’m excited to have a wing woman with me, I’m not out there on my own. So just kinda getting my feet wet a little bit,‘ she explained. 

Katie also weighed in on Lala hiring a private investigator to check on her dating prospect.

‚Listen I don’t blame her with what she has gone through so that is her journey.But, I don’t know? It’s not a bad idea. Who knows? If there is somebody I was like seriously considering eventually, then maybe. Maybe it’s worth the money?‘

Tom and Katie announced their divorce plans in mid-March after five years of marriage and 12 years together. They have no children together.

Katie filed for divorce soon after that same month, filing the documents at LA County Superior Court.

They were already dating in 2013 when Vanderpump Rules premiered; they wed in 2016 but later revealed they were not legally married.

In 2019, they exchanged vows for a second time in Las Vegas, obtaining a marriage license.
