Lacuna is set in a 1980’s Berlin. A crime wave has broken out in the capital. The main character has been getting involved in a series of murders that resemble a gang war…
During his investigation the main character decides to find a missing girl. He begins a series of unexpected tasks as he gets closer to the truth.

When Joshua Clay wrote a number of reviews back in 2013, it was Lacuna, with its unique crafting mechanic and engaging puzzles, that earned the most positive marks.
So, with Machinarium having made good on their promise to revisit this classic in 2017, their faithful fans returned the favour and we have a tale of intrigue and mystery set in the year 2055. Dubbed a “sci-fi noir mystery adventure”, it offers a collection of richly detailed vignettes that support a narrative that the player can visit in any order.
While its characters are instantly memorable, it’s the richness of the gameplay and the cryptic puzzles that make for a thoroughly immersive and mysterious experience.
