A Vast World Full of Excitement
– While I was enjoying the class changes and the “new” game style, I was disappointed in the absence of classes. There were no classes (like mage, warrior, priest… etc) to choose from. With only four classes, one class will never be that effective and the battle system will always be the same. 2 classes would have been better
– I personally liked that the game has three difficulty settings, now with that said there are five different difficulty settings. This can make combat either too easy or too hard. The current difficulty settings are: Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard and Legendary. The easiest setting is the first thing I would change, as it’s really easy to make mistakes and go down. The second is the same as the first but with more enemies, the third, for me is still too easy. The fourth is the same as the first but with less enemies, and the final is what it should be, the hardest setting in the game and I’m glad it can be played now
– I like that the expansions and rooms keep adding to the game. It’s something that I appreciate a lot and something that I’d wish for every RPG, especially those that are a remake/reimagining of another RPG/MMORPG
– There are many things you can use to deal damage and there are many kinds of enchantments. I also like the fact that the enemy AI is really good and most enemies attack only once per turn. Every enemy gets a much better upgrade each level which means that they are a lot more powerful and that it takes a while to take them down. I like it as it makes all enemies more challenging
– The graphics are nice and the story seems interesting, it just needs some fine tuning and the experience will be great. After playing it for two hours, it seems like everything was off. I know it’s a beta but the graphics in the pre alpha video were much better. It could be my PC, but everything was off. The design is nice and the animations are fluid. The weapon design are pretty cool, especially for the Rokugan version and the character design looks nice. A few things could use improvement, the speed and the cursor could be a lot better.
Music is good and there is a huge variety of music, there are also two cameras, but you have no control over them. There are also no text chat and no voice chat
